Bio: Kathleen Wareham is a full-time mediator, arbitrator and meeting facilitator. She mediates disputes, utilizing her twenty-five-year legal background in negligence; personal injury; civil rights; employment; wrongful death; and probate, trust, guardianship and elder law matters.
Before becoming a full-time neutral, Ms. Wareham was a partner in a Seattle law firm. Her civil litigation practice at MacDonald Hoague & Bayless included a broad range of personal injury; civil rights; and probate, trust, and guardianship cases. Ms. Wareham is a member of the Washington Arbitration and Mediation Service (WAMS) and is certified to serve as a Rule 39.1 mediator for federal cases. Her law degree is from Columbia University (1986). She got her BA in philosophy, with honors, with a minor in economics, with honors, from the University of Washington (1983). Her mediation and facilitation training includes the Professional Mediation Skills Training Program at the University of Washington School of Law (2001), WAMS Advanced Mediation Training (2005), and Caregiver Mediation, Thurston County Dispute Resolution Center, program from University of Michigan School of Gerontology. She is a frequent speaker on a variety of dispute-resolution topics and is the author of the WSBA Deskbook Chapter "Washington Mediation Ethics" (2009).

20th Annual Northwest Dispute Resolution Conference a Huge Success!

Nearly 400 people participated in the Northwest Dispute Resolution Conference this year.
