The Inaugural Northwest Collaborative Futures Conference: Deconstructing Artificial Borders

WSBA ADR is thrilled to announce the first ever Northwest Collaborative Futures Conference.  This year’s theme is Deconstructing Artificial Borders, and this event will have a kick off in the evening of Oct 20, 2021 and then run all day on Oct 21 and 22. Please save the dates and mark your calendars now, because this is going to be a great event.

We are creating this event with a really amazing team of partners.  We have joined forces with a coalition of groups in British Columbia who have a long history of excellent dispute resolution conferences. (Mediate BC, CoRe Clinic and CLE BC). We are also working with Mediate.com to create this cross border and innovative dispute resolution event.  All presentations will conducted online, so anyone with a good internet connection will be able to participate regardless of geography and the pandemic.

We have so much in the works, and more information will be coming soon, but for now there are three things we need from each of you.

  1. As stated above, mark your calendars.  (Evening of Oct 20 through Oct 22)
  2. We are going to have a mix of programing that will include short form presentations.  Check out our call for proposals. Because of the compress timeline, talk ideas are due soon (August 31). So don’t delay in thinking about what 6/15/30 minute talk you might be interested in giving, and send us your idea via Mediate BC’s form.  https://www.mediatebc.com/mediator-blog/conference-2021-proposal
  3. AND spread the word to other folks who might be interested in this conference and giving a talk!

We have such a tremendous community, and we have so much we can gain by building connections outside of the WSBA ADR community. This conference, including this call for proposals, is a way for us to build those connections.
