Event Description

The WSBA ADR Section is holding a Question and Answer session on the Uniform Family Law Arbitration Act (UFLAA) on October 10, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. for anyone interested. Interested persons may call 1-866-577-9294 listen to prompt and enter Pass Code:  5016527 #

The uniform act was promulgated by the Uniform Law Commission (ULC) in 2016.  The act has been proposed by the Alternative Dispute Section of the WSBA for adoption in Washington. The scope of the act includes both financial and parenting issues.  The act addresses issues and needs that are unique to family law cases including protections from abuse, the court’s parens patriae duty, and judicial review of arbitration awards.

The session will be open from 9:00 am until 10:30 am.
