Please join the American Arbitration Association from 12:00 to 1:30pm at our Seattle office on March 3, 2011 for a lively and practical discussion to understand the different styles of mediation, how to decide which approach or mediator to use in certain cases, and how to prepare yourself and your client for a successful mediation.
Faculty will include three experienced mediators with diverse experience in commercial and employment disputes:
§ Estera Gordon, Graham & Dunn
§ Denise “Dee” Knapp, Accord & Collaboration Dispute Resolution Services
§ Nancy Maisano, Maisano Mediation, LLC
These experienced AAA mediators will provide to attendees insights on what mediators expect from attorneys and parties before and during a mediation, and provide practice tips on how to best utilize the process to settle disputes for their clients. The discussion will be moderated by Serena K. Lee, Vice President of the AAA Seattle regional office. An outline of the program has been attached for your information.
If you would like to register, please send a check for $50, payable to the American Arbitration Association, to 701 Pike Street, Suite 950, Seattle, WA 98101, along with your name and bar number. At this time, a total of 1.5 Washington State CLE credits have been approved. Please feel free to bring a brown bag lunch to the program. Soda, coffee, snacks and dessert will be provided, courtesy of the AAA.
We hope you will be able to join us for this very relevant discussion. Please register soon as space is limited. Contact John Butler at butlerj@adr.org with any questions.
