Vivian Scott is a Professional Certified Mediator with a private practice that serves both King County and Snohomish County. She is the author of “Conflict Resolution at Work For Dummies” and a contributing author to “Thriving in the Workplace For Dummies”, both from Wiley Publishing.

Ms. Scott is an accomplished mediator. Along with her extensive expertise in workplace conflict resolution she mediates family cases, business to business negotiations, community disputes, and foreclosures. Ms. Scott holds credentials in Basic Mediation Training, Family Mediation Training, and Workplace Mediation Training as well as additional certifications from the Washington Mediation Association where she was nominated by her peers for its 2010 Mediator of the Year award and received its 2012 Outstanding Contributor award.

Prior to retiring in 1999 from the competitive world of high tech marketing, she realized resolving conflict within the confines of office politics was paramount to success. She used her discerning negotiation, mediation, and problem-solving skills to forge and cultivate relationships with Washington, D.C.-based small business associations and agencies on behalf of her employer, earning her a rare personal honor from the Small Business Administration for her commitment to the business community. Ms. Scott holds a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences with an emphasis in American Studies from the University of Washington.
