Bio
Rina uniquely blends compassion and understanding with a balanced perspective and the neutrality required of professional mediators. Her extensive legal background enables her to steer through the most complex disputes in a knowledgeable and straightforward manner to help clients find the most equitable and satisfying resolutions to their disputes.

Rina founded her practice in 2004 and devoted it entirely to divorce and family mediation because it offers parties an opportunity to achieve win-win solutions even when the conflict appears intractable. She believes that with compassionate and skilled guidance, parties can form their own creative and lasting solutions to their conflict. Her mediation style—flexible, empowering and constructive—encourages creative problem solving and conflict resolution in family situations.

As a former trial lawyer, Rina understands the financial and personal impact litigation often has on individual parties. Her clients praise her ability to instill confidence in what she can do for them and in her commitment to find the best long-term solutions.

Although Rina believes that a mediator shouldn’t speculate about the possible outcome of litigation, her extensive legal experience enables her to understand how cases are evaluated. This helps her guide the parties through a process of informed and collaborative decision-making while considering a variety of ways to measure the fairness of a settlement proposal.

Rina’s achievements have been recognized by her superiors and her peers. Throughout her professional career as a lawyer and mediator, she has been commended by employers, clients, associates, and judges for her professional knowledge and integrity. In 2007, Rina received recognition by the King County (Washington) Dispute Resolution Center as Mediator of the Year. She currently chairs the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Washington State Bar Association.

Not sure which thing you're asking about. So here's the scoop on all:
* your "My Page" is publicly viewable and searchable - a great way to market yourself to both members and the public;
* Approved minutes are available to the public;
* Unapproved minutes are available only to the Executive Committee.
Or was it something else we were talking about?

Nice wall, Rina! You win the "Creative My Page" award!

Did you get an answer to your message to the ExecComm about minutes?

Short answer is approved minutes are found under the Section News menu-choice, on the Minutes & Financials page.

Longer answer is Anamaria worked out with me a system. When she's drafted them, they're posted on the ExecComm group page for review. After we've approved them, they go on the Minutes & Financials page.

This was also a good opportunity for me to test and experience how to find things. The website's search function (at the top right-hand corner), looking for "minutes," did find the Minutes & Financials page. So that's good. And you can always feel free to contact David (webmaster) or me directly if you're not finding what you need. Thanks for being the explorer!
