Held my first mediation.  Parties signed a settlement agreement to consider proposals for 14 days,  and to set another date for mediation if needed. I'm treating this as an agreed extension for certification.

Mine was scheduled for 9/22 and would have been one of Snohomish DRC's 1st.  It was canceled by the attys representing the lenders.  That group represents 50-75% of the lenders according to Snohomish DRC.  I suspect this issue…

I have had one scheduled so far and the beneficiary never returned the waiver and did not send in the fee.  I got an email from the borrower's attorney the day before the mediation asking that it be continued and a call from the firm…

Has anyone held a foreclosure mediation yet?  I have one scheduled for 9/21 and am wondering if anyone else has successfully scheduled and held one yet.  I"d love to share non-confidential information about how the process played out.

Dee Knapp is president and owner of Accord & Collaboration Dispute Resolution Services (ACDRS), a firm that provides workplace mediation, facilitation, conflict coaching and training. She has over twenty years of experience as both a litigating employment attorney and a conflict resolution expert. Organizations hire Ms. Knapp to assess the interpersonal sources of conflict and to collaborate on the interventions and change necessary to create a high functioning workplaces.
Ms. Knapp brings a sense of calm to tough situations and an enthusiastic energy to her coaching and training. Her consistent optimism that the heart of the matter leading to common ground can be discovered and explored has served as a source for resolution and inspiration for her clients.
Ms. Knapp is an adjunct professor at Seattle University School of Law teaching “Client Counseling and Negotiations”and “Mediation.” She teaches “Conflict Resolution” at Chapman University and classes such as “Organizational Behavior” and “Organizational Negotiations” for the University of Phoenix. A recognized authority on dispute resolution topics, she has presented workshops nationwide for, among others, the American Bar Association, University of Washington Law School ADR Conference, the Public Administrative Forum, USDA Civil Rights and Diversity Conference and the Federal Dispute Resolution conferences.

Please let me know if there's anything we can do in the section or on this network that would be a help to you. Always happy to hear it.
