Nina Meierding to Open the Nineteenth Annual
Northwest Dispute Resolution Conference

Nina Meierding will open the Northwest Dispute Resolution Conference beginning Friday, May 4.

Nina has assisted in the resolution of thousands of disputes. She has conducted training throughout the world: Canada, Sweden, Ireland, England, Scotland, the Netherlands, and India. She has consulted and trained many groups - including court systems, corporations, medical agencies, governmental agencies, small and large business entities, and individuals in the areas of conflict resolution, cross cultural issues, management skills, and negotiation skills.

Nina is an Adjunct Professor at Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California (courses in Negotiation, Domestic Relations Dispute Resolution, Advanced Mediation, and Cross Cultural Issues in Dispute Resolution), in both Southern Methodist University's Dispute Resolution program in Dallas, Texas (courses in Gender and Culture, Mediation, Advanced Negotiation, Advanced Family Mediation, Divorce Mediation) as well as SMU's Counseling program (Counseling Diverse Communities), and at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennesee (Cross Cultural Issues in Dispute Resolution). She has been a guest instructor at many other universities and law schools. Nina has also been an instructor at the National Judicial College in Reno, Nevada and the California Judicial College, and has been a plenary speaker and presented workshops at judicial and state bar conferences.

ADR Advocacy Track

Following the success of last year's Mediation Advocacy Track, the conference is presenting a complete series for those interested in issues of advocacy in ADR: the ADR Advocacy Track

Location

The conference is held at the William H. Gates Hall, home of the University of Washington School of Law (map). An excellent venue, it offers classrooms with state-of-the art presentation technologies, spacious exhibit spaces and its stunning light-filled atrium for break-time networking opportunities.

Conference Format

This is the premier dispute resolution conference in the Northwest. Recognized as being among the best dispute resolution conferences nationally.

To register, watch this page for updates on when registration is available. You may register for both days; for a half-day on Friday or for all-day on Saturday. Registration for either day includes a Friday late afternoon reception.

CLE accreditation for this year’s conference is pending. Last year’s conference was approved for 9.75 CLE Credits (includes 1.25 CLE Ethics Credits) in Washington.
