This is the place for members interested in legislative matters affecting ADR in Washington. The Legislative Committee is tasked with monitoring legislation that may be of interest to our members and making recommendations to the Executive Committee.

SUPRREME COURT PROPOSES COLLABORATIVE LAW RULES
On April 5, 2013 the Washington Supreme Court entered an Order on the adoption of Collaborative Law Rules. A copy of the order is here: Aoril 5 2013 Order on adoption of Collaborative Law Rules
Comments on the proposed Rules may be made to the Court within 60 days of the publication of the proposed Rules.
It might be noted that the Rules adopted by the Washington Supreme Court were recommended by the WSBA Rules Committee as recommended by the ADR Section of the WSBA and the ADR Section's Legislative Committee.

Family Law Mediations - 26.09.15 Amendment to amend re: mediator assessment of needs of children/ reveiew of section.
Additional research studies: Gonzaga University Law School, child inclusive mediation, mediator standards and licensing.
International Child Custody Mediation – report on ABA Internat’l Section protocols/report.
