This is the place for members interested in legislative matters affecting ADR in Washington. The Legislative Committee is tasked with monitoring legislation that may be of interest to our members and making recommendations to the Executive Committee.

Any ADR Section member can join this LegCom group page on the website. You might find yourself becoming active in the LegCom itself! So join the group and stay in touch.

LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE ACTION ITEMS

The ADR Legislative Committee meets monthly on the 2nd Tuesday at noon. Meeting times are subject to change.  Please check this webpage for current information.


SUPRREME COURT PROPOSES COLLABORATIVE LAW RULES

On April 5, 2013 the Washington Supreme Court entered an Order on the adoption of Collaborative Law Rules.   A copy of the order is here:  Aoril 5 2013 Order on adoption of Collaborative Law Rules

Comments on the proposed Rules may be made to the Court within 60 days of the publication of the proposed Rules.  The comment period ends 6-30-13.

It might be noted that the Rules adopted by the Washington Supreme Court were recommended by the WSBA Rules Committee as recommended by the ADR Section of the WSBA and the  ADR Section's Legislative Committee.

Paul, I am not able to attend the Sept 9 meeting.  But I am interested in the drafting of proposed amendments to the Fairness Foreclosure Act, so please let me know if there is something I can in that effort.  Thank you.
