WSBA Alternative Dispute Resolution
Promoting Informed Use and Best Practices for ADR in Washington
Hello ADR Attorneys!
I am sending this urgent message in support of the Seattle U Law School Dispute Resolution Board who need judges for our upcoming client counseling competition on Friday, September 30, 2011 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Dinner will be provided and a wine and cheese reception will follow completion of the competition. Please let me know at your earliest convenience if you are willing and able to act as a judge in our September 30th competition. I can be reached by phone or email and would be glad to provide any additional pertinent information.
We are now able to offer CLE credits for those of you who act as judges for our upcoming competitions! You can earn one regular CLE credit (not ethics credits) for each hour of active time they spend judging the competition. Depending on the length of the competition rounds, you can generally earn 1.5-2.5 credits. Credits are earned for time spent in the judges orientation (1/2 an hour), and for the total time spent watching, scoring, and giving feedback on the competition rounds.
if you know of anyone else who is qualified (an attorney or counselor) and may be interested in becoming a judge for one of our competitions, please forward them this information or send me their contact information.
Thank you so much!
