Join us for this advanced, one-day training with this internationally recognized leader in the field of conflict resolution. Expand your understanding and elevate your expertise in exploring the causes of resistance. Focus on proactive and responsive techniques that deal with specific barriers to settlement.

This progressive day long curriculum will include:

  • How people create psychological obstacles in decision-making through bias, cognitive dissonance, reactive devaluation, and optimistic overconfidence
  • How negotiation techniques such as Boulewarism, red herrings, non-strategic concessions and poorly designed opening offers can create an impasse
  • Why using questions strategically can change tempo, impact power dynamics and build rapport
  • Proactive techniques that can set the stage and eliminate certain types of obstacles
  • Anchoring, reframing, reality testing, timing and customized unilateral concessions that will help you be more effective
