34.25 CLEs (1.75 in Ethics) This 40-hour intensive training is offered by the Dispute Resolution Center of King County. Using the interest-based approach, it is designed to teach the skills needed to become a facilitative mediator. Learn to be a neutral third party, manage highly-charged negotiations, and empower clients to find solutions that meet everyone's needs.
The facilitative model will give you the foundation needed to handle conflicts between neighbors, employers-employees, merchants-consumers, landlord-tenants, and a variety of interpersonal conflicts.
The training meets the classroom requirement for certification through the Washington Mediation Association. Additional specialized training may be required for some types of conflicts.
Mediation students who complete the classroom training are eligible to apply for the DRC mentored practicum.
$850. Early bird rate of $800 before June 15.
$25 CLE processing fee
