Event Description

22.5 CLEs.

This 24-hour intensive training offered by the Dispute Resolution Center of King County provides an opportunity to learn mediation skills without the mediation model.  These skills can be used in everyday and in professional life to enhance your ability to negotiate collaboratively within your work team, between departments or divisions, and with clients.

The three-day training includes practice in using the strategies, techniques, and skills when you are negotiating proactively, before there is any sense of conflict,  as well as when there is conflict.  You will also apply the strategies to situations where you are outside the conflict assisting others to reach resolution.

This model uses the interest-based approach to dispute resolution and integrates this approach into a 3-step model.
