Event Description

The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators is a leading professional membership organization representing the interests of alternative dispute resolution practitioners worldwide. With over 15,000 members located in more than 133 countries, CIArb supports the global promotion, facilitation and development of all forms of private dispute resolution.

The 3-day program focuses on applicable laws and procedures for the conduct of efficient arbitration hearings in complex international cases.  Satisfactory assessment of performance in role-play exercises will permit the candidate to take the award writing examination for qualification as a Fellow that is administered as part of the program.  Following successful completion of the exam and subsequent Peer Interview, one is eligible to be a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and use the designation "FCIArb."

The Seattle Fellowship program fee is $1,950, but a reduced fee of  $1,700 is available to members of the Washington State Bar Association, Alternate Dispute Resolution section.
